So we made an offer on a home here in Katy. The offer was accepted. It's a very pretty, one-story lakefront home with four bedrooms, which means we'll be expecting company. Yes, that means you! So I'm not so bummed about not going to Amsterdam.

Yesterday

we went to The Dump to find a new bedroom set

hung out at Costco

drove around looking at houses

and even shared a frozen yogurt for dinner.

Pretty decent day! EXCEPT that we were supposed to be here.

so I'm a little bummed. On the bright side, we did spend the day together.

Valentines 2010

Why was my Valentines great, even though the love of my life was in another country?

• he sent me Ethel M chocolates, and called me on Valentines
• I was invited to eat with each of my children in Houston
• ate with the Funks, since they were the first to ask - Shawn's homemade pizza bread and mac and cheese were awesome!
• had fun making cookies with Ryan and Brianna
• saw each of my Texas grandkids
• had leftover shrimp scampi with linguini with the Petersons tonight
• Violet loved the package I sent her
• and the best - I get to see Mike this week and have Valentines all over again!

We're back

• we've just downsized - from 4,400 sf to 650. yep, pretty tight, but nice and cozy. love it!
