Mr and Mrs. Lee - April 14, 2012

The big day FINALLY arrived, and not one day too soon for Ashley.  Congratulations!  We love you!
Ashley looked stunning!

While setting up the arrangements, I booked a string quartet.  I told them the ceremony would last about 15 minutes.  They were skeptical.  I was right.  They happily grabbed their instruments and took off.  No complaints about the length of the ceremony from anyone.

Fun with the Funks

While the Funks were here I was searching the internet trying to find ideas for fun places to take kids.  Lindsey suggested our neighborhood splash pad, which is open year round and any hour.  How simple is that?   Definitely the way to go, as you can see.

I just had to post these photos of the kids enjoying some time at the splash pad in our neighborhood.  We really wore them out that day.

Easter and Bluebonnets 2012

Bluebonnets are a tradition here in Texas - one of my favorites.  Because of the rain this year, they were exceptionally pretty.  Unfortunately, the rain allowed the weeds to grow and quickly overtake them, so they didn't last long.  I did manage to snap a few photos before they disappeared.

Easter came during bluebonnet season.  We had our annual Easter dinner with the usual goodies.  The kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt.  Thanks to Ashley and Landon,  the Funks were able to join us (likely the one and only time,) which made even more fun.  We shook things up this year by changing the rules last minute and having it indoors instead of outside.   The kids had fun, as usual.  We're enjoying living close to some of our children.  Wish we could live close to them all!

Bridal Shower

Trying to catch up on my blogs after the wedding -

Several weeks ago Bethany hosted a bridal shower for Ashley.  It was done in true Peterson style - smoked salmon sandwiches, tarts from Ooh La La, fresh fruit, and beautiful flowers.  We had a great time getting to know the women in Landon's life, (that is besides Ashley.)  His beautiful mom, sister niece and grandmother all came.  We had a great time!  Thanks, Bethy!
